A Healthy Toddler

Submitted by Megan B.
Oklahoma, United States

I breastfed my son for a year. When he was about six months old we started supplementing a few feedings at daycare with formula because I didn't have a very good pump and wasn't making enough to supply him at school. But I did continue to breastfeed when we were together.

It has been so beneficial for my son. He is 20 months old and has only had 1 ear infection, tonsillitis once, and a couple of colds. He does still go to daycare and is very rarely ever sick. He is also a very good eater.

Breastfeeding was the best thing I could have ever done for my son, because now he is a very healthy toddler.
