Back to Work with the Pump

by Diane
(Holland, MI)

Visitor Working and Breastfeeding Success Story: I returned to work when my son was 9 weeks old. He was exclusively breastfed since birth. I started pumping a few weeks prior to returning to work and became comfortable with it at home first.

I work four ten hour days, but am able to take an hour lunch and scoot home to feed at noon. I pump mid morning and mid afternoon. I am grateful to be able to work for a company that understands the importance of breastfeeding. It also helps that in our office of 8, 3 of us are nursing moms.
