A mother needs to find a comfortable breastfeeding position, sitting up or lying down, whichever is best for her.

The infant's tummy should be facing the mother's tummy. The mother should support her breast with her hand and that should be done by keeping the thumb on top and fingers underneath. It makes it easy for the infant.
