Breastfeeding Positions: Get comfy in bed!

by Naomi
(Ontario, Canada)

Visitor Breastfeeding Tip: Of the breastfeeding positions, side-lying Nursing ROCKS!

A lactation consultant demonstrated this position and it's made night time feedings so much more restful! I started at 8weks and haven't looked back.

To do:

1. Lie on your side with one are propped under your head with a pillow

2. Use your free arm to position baby to latch, baby should be able to gaze up at you

3. Prop baby with a pillow behind her/his back

4. Relax :)

I nurse my son almost exclusively in this position. He's comfortable, I'm comfortable and it's just plain awesome.
