Mommy Breastfeeds My Baby Brother

This book really helped!
Visitor Breastfeeding Tips: When I was pregnant with my son, I was concerned about how my 2 year old daughter was going to adjust. I wanted to do everything to make this transition a smooth one.
First a friend of mine told me that I should take out some baby stuff, such as the swing, the play mat, and the Exersaucer. This was a great idea!
I took these things out about 1 month before the baby was born. This gave my daughter time to explore these items, and play with them with her dolls. By the time the baby came she was bored with playing with them!
A second thing that a friend told me to do was to buy the book Mommy Breastfeeds My Baby Brother by Mark Repkin. This was a great children's book to help explain nursing to my daughter. She was nursed for 1 year so she did not remember anything about it. This was such a great book!
She loved the story, and by the time her brother came, she understood nursing and the importance. She was a wonderful support. She still asks me to read her the book, even though her brother is 1 years old now.
It was so important to me that my daughter would embrace her new brother without jealousy. These 2 suggestions I think really helped.
