My Story: 45 Hour Work Weeks while Breastfeeding

45 Hour Work Weeks while Breastfeeding

45 Hour Work Weeks while Breastfeeding

I was lucky to have a support staff at work and at home. My employer had a very relaxing office set-up that helped me feel comfortable while pumping.

I kept a photo of my daughter in the breast pump bag, and did relaxation breathing to help the milk flow. My husband would also bring my daughter by so that I could take my breaks and breastfeed her at the same time.

I pumped when I was at home with a hospital grade breast pump to help keep the milk producing enough as my daughter drank more.

The biggest tip I have is to find the right support. A Employer who won't help you to have an easy transition back to work probably isn't supportive in other ways.
