I Would Recommend Breastfeeding(Hawaii, US)
My name is Kathy and I breastfed my first child, a girl, for almost three years. It was a good experience for both of us. She began to eat solid food from about the age of six months, but continued to nurse until I became pregnant with her little brother. The nursing was always at her insistence and so was the final child-lead weaning. It was done in private and was our special time together. She grew up to be a confident, intelligent and independent child and adult who would make any parent proud. I feel that our initial closeness was a wonderful launching pad for her. It also gave me many happy memories of our special time together. I would do it again in a minute and would recommend the extended breastfeeding experience to any new mother.
