One of the things I wish I would have had done was get some breastfeeding photography of my children nursing.
We have an excellent photographer near my home who has done some great maternity and nursing shots, but I just didn’t consider it. I would now recommend it to any nursing mom.
Tips for Taking Great Breastfeeding Pics
Want to capture your precious nursing moments with some breastfeeding photos? Here are some tips:
•First-make sure your baby is hungry and ready to nurse!
•If you are taking the pictures in your home, use soft lighting. Try the natural light of a window. You can achieve beautiful images this way.
•Try to get eye contact or hold your baby’s hand. This type of interaction captured on film is breathtaking.
•If you decide to look for a professional to take your breastfeeding pics, it is helpful to find someone who has specializes in breast-feeding photography, baby photos or maternity shots.
•If the photographer is willing to come to your home, you usually have better results.
•Make sure your photo session will not be hurried. You will want time to relax, nurse and create the keepsake photo that you are looking for.
Remember, a nursing photo can still be modest and turn out beautifully…this also will keep it more appropriate to hang on the living room wall!
